Sincerest form of flattery/good sense is imitation

On a walk along the lake recently,  I discovered that others had come to the same conclusions  ( see previous posts )  1942 - 2012 .Lets hope it not another 50 years before we investigate it properly . Without a causeway , there will be no way to fund such a cause!

Great variety of bird life with little ducks dominating and pelicans doing well on shallows schools .Water is very shallow and is not expected to last the  summer.

The water level is still low ( below the pier measuring stick about 100mm up the end piers. Lots of growth from seed (part sedges) over the last year now providing cover and home for ducks and swans in particular. the numbers of pelicans too has grown to at least one group of over 12 feeding together ( all heads down at once)
